It was a privilege to be involved in the creation of the fit out for The Green Canopy Café, with its prime location on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.

Requiring an internal strip out, careful consideration was placed into the design and aesthetic that now features terrazzo flooring, new plasterboard ceilings with a Porter’s French Wash finish to the perimeter walls, suspended timber overhead planter boxes and curved arches with concealed floating shelves with recessed LED lighting.

Completing the look are the banquette seating, main counter finished in a seamless micro-cement render, architectural lighting and an audio visual system.

Hidden details but still of significance include the upgrade of the commercial kitchen with new appliances and a cool room, as well as the refrigerated display units. The amenities and fixtures were also upgraded as was the signage.

The natural tones of the café were complimented with furniture, artwork and greenery to fulfill the brief and create a new inviting space.
